I used some of my white fondant to create this sugar rose that i used to top off a chocolate cupcake. I rolled out little balls of fondant and squished them down with my thumb so that they resembled petals. Then i started rolling them up and around each other, fanning out some of the petals. Since the fondant was still soft the petals stuck together nicely. I then colored a small ball of fondant with some green coloring and rolled it out thin. I took a lemon tree leaf and pressed it into the fondant and cut around with an exact knife. then i peeled the leaf off and i had this cool looking sugar leaf that fit in right under the rose.
